tech priority/innovation has to be driven by the business strategy ... so let's assume that the business strategy turns out to focus on aspects like productivity, profitability, cost and a new business line. After identifying what has to transform in the organization, people and process, the technologies to focus on will include RPA, AI, BI and IoT

Probably not exactly what you are looking for, but in 2020 I'm focused on doing more with less - less products, less applications, less infrastructure.   So much time and money is spent on product implementation, upgrades, vendor meetings, maintenance payments, end user training, due diligence, etc.  I'm finding it difficult to justify the benefit to the business for a lot of these items.

At the end of last year we just hired a new Information Security Officer - our goals this year are to get security tightened up and stabilized.  We too are looking at doing more with less, but being smart in positing the person for the right job.  A constant game of chess making little settle moves.
