Our team is wonderfully diverse already, and we continue to look for the best talent no matter of race, religion, gender, etc. We find the diversity helps us with new ideas, processes and improvements.

Fortunately for my organization, we attract a very diverse group of qualified individuals. Coincidentally these high level candidates come from various backgrounds, that bring individual experiences with them that strengthen our team as a whole.

This is a politically dangerous question.  I know of organizations who specifically wanted demografical diversity, hired for that instead of talent, and ran into issues. In my experience a far more important and effective strategy would be to hire for the best fit and talent but work very hard to ensure that no intentional or unintentional biases are preventing qualified diverse candidates from applying or being hired. As an example, we discovered that skilled technical females in Bangalore had a harder time finding jobs and we were able to tap a market of talent that other companies are ignoring.
