What are some creative ways IOT can be used in the workplace in a post-Covid world?

I'll give you an example of something I was discussing with my peers as it relates to COVID.  In LA County, obviously we don't have any people in classrooms, but everybody's still trying to ramp up for that. And what a lot of my peers said they were doing in terms of COVID is actually going back to their wireless access points, and extracting the data and doing density tracking based on that. And I actually thought that was a fascinating solution because you already have the data and you already have the information, and students aren't necessarily going to tell you where they are or where they're going, but to be able to kind of proactively get out ahead of that. So you don't create yourself a COVID problem. It's actually an interesting way to use the data, and you're right, maybe I don't consider that as traditional IOT, but I look at it more in terms of data that we already have, and how we can use it proactively to solve a problem.

Again, I work from one of the companies, but we are actually issuing BLE badges to everyone with the assumption that everybody's always got their badge on them when they're on the campus. I occasionally go to the lady's room, and forget, and leave it on my desk. It's not a perfect science, but that data all gets brought into a cloud, and can alert security when too many people are in the same spot. And it has nothing to do with whether, or not I have a device connected there, but just whether my presence is there based on the device, and based on the badge.
