How should IT look to approach RPA?

Enterprise Applications - IT should lead RPA initiatives. If they don’t it will be yet another example of technology disintermediating IT (like cloud computing, SaaS, Analytics, etc…). The keys to RPA success are governance, process definition, control framework, implementation and support. IT can/should be a part of ALL of these elements, so there’s no reason IT can’t take the lead, unless they don’t want to in which case others will come along and take the mantle and sublimate IT even further.
