By Immigration barriers, I think you are referring to USA only. There are 195 countries and many companies have the choice to avoid taking risky countries as targets for marketing. Especially if the whole world and emerging markets are available to expand into. Since we are based on the other side of the planet, we focus more on expanding operations in Asia where there are more opportunities and less hindrances. As far as dealing with hindering countries goes, it is better to use technology to partner with agents and companies who are already present in the country instead of moving new people over the borders.
