According to a study in 2017 by the Korn Ferry institute, the average tenure for the CIO is 4.3 years. Would this still be true in 2019?

I think it may be less, perhaps 3.0 years.  Too many opportunities flying around to work with interesting tech and innovative companies.  Most of the fun is in the early years building the infrastructure and the better you build the faster it gets "boring".
