I did the management route with my Masters.  I would be happy to be a technical individual contributor now

It totally depends on where you want your career to head. If you want to eventually be in a management role, the MBA will be much more valuable than CISSP.

It's like comparing apples to oranges. I have both. I think both are beneficial.

I have answered - CISSP, but I don't really see this as either/or question. I think this is the case when one complements the other (though I believe in Europe CISSP is now considered ~ MS equivalent). To me it simply boils down to personal preference.

I select my talent by character, once you know what to look for education becomes obsolete very quick. I do however recognize that the IT branch is unique in this. The value of a true software engineer is in retention not acquisition.

I would choose an MBA because I feel like the Market place puts more value in it.
